Birds and Beavers at the Desert Museum, Tucson

I just got back from Tucson, Arizona where I had a fabulous time with a dear friend I’ve known since junior high and her equally dear husband.

The first day I was there they both had to work. (ITEM: I propose a law that states if I’m on vacation, everyone else is, too. Please write your senators.) Being a true only child I took off with my camera and entertained myself at the Desert Museum, which is an absolute must when you’re in Tucson next.

I’ll post some flora photos in a couple days, but today I wanted to share a few fauna favorites.

I know you can’t see his tail but that is, in fact, a beaver. In a “desert” museum. I’m not sure I buy it, and think maybe the curators snuck him in to up the adorableness factor. What do you think?
