Two Ways of Looking at a Rhino

(With apologies to Wallace Stevens.)

The grass is waiting. The rhino must be nibbling.

I do not know which to prefer, the beauty of the light or the beauty of the dark, the rhino’s form or its shadow.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen a rhino close up. Such interesting skin.

Manisha – Yes! I wish I could have touched it, but I doubt the rhino would have appreciated the intrusion.

Oddly, when I think of a rhino I see in my mind the entire animal – never thought of looking at it from any other perspective. Thanks for the concept.

Gypsy – The reason I didn’t go with the whole rhino is because I couldn’t avoid the enclosing fence in the photo, so I was forced to look for different views. You work with what you’ve got, ha.
