Studly

It seemed appropriate to share these photos on a Friday night, in case you’ve got a date and need some inspiration.

(In my mind the word studly can apply to men or women, because I’m an equal opportunity romance inspirer. ๐Ÿ™‚ )

When I was in Ireland last year we visited the Irish National Stud in Kildare. (Just “stud,” no “farm” at the end. The Irish don’t mess around.) Many, many champion horses have been born and bred there, and not only do you get to admire those gorgeous creatures, the grounds are spectacular as well.

Mare at Irish National Stud

I just realized I don’t have any photos of the males, and I vaguely remember that they were housed elsewhere. Presumably because they couldn’t be entirely polite around this gorgeous girl.

Here’s that gorgeous girl’s progeny.

Horses, Irish National Stud

Three more beauties.

Creek path, Irish National Stud Garden

You can walk all around the gardens, and they had this sweet rock path through a creek.

Bridge, Irish National Stud Garden

Love the Asian influence.

Trees, Irish National Stud Garden

These trees are so perfect it’s almost like a tree museum.

Swans, Irish National Stud Garden

Bonus napping swans!

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Emilie, that’s exactly right! It was surprising, but beautiful.
