I planned my visit to Tennessee in March assuming it would be warm and lushly green, based on intensive research of historical data. (Meaning I looked at Weather.com once and noted that the season would change from winter to spring during my trip.)
Much to my disappointment it was neither of those things, but even so, Tennessee is still beautiful. Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains is a pretty loop drive with vistas and historical buildings, and I took this shot because I fell in love with that stark tree. I processed the photo two ways and couldn’t decide which to post, so here are both versions:
