Koalas are ridiculously cute, but they’re also frustratingly shy. Don’t they know their one job is to entertain the humans, especially those of us with cameras who are just dying to photograph their fuzzy little faces?
I cooed and coaxed and even tried my best marsupial mental telepathy to get them to pose adorably for a photo.
Me: Please turn around.
Me: Please? Just halfway?
Me: Great! How about turning all the way for one more shot?
Koala, who has turned back to face the tree trunk: You bore me.
It turns out when a koala is hungry, he (or she) is distracted by the aroma of delicious eucalyptus, and it’s easier to get those candid shots of extreme cuteness we’re all waiting for.
Me: So, you’ll be eating for awhile? Anything else you’d like to share with the readers?
Koala: [Munching noises.]

Your patience got you some great pictures. For myself, I can think of a dozen other animals I’d like to photograph.
Gypsy – Give the koala some love! Ha. I’ll post some shots of other animals (and plants) I took next week. What animals would you like to shoot?
You are right – total cuteness and so glad you were patient and got these shots to share!
Sherry – I’m not a particularly patient person, but when there are adorable creatures around I’m glad to know I can step up, ha.
