Happy New Year!

Is it just me, or does 2015 seem ridiculously futuristic? Like jetpacks, housecleaning robots, and psychopathic computers named Hal?

Despite the lack of all that (so far), I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are ready for the new year. I quit making resolutions long ago, but I do like to think about projects and travel for the coming 12 months.

I’m taking on what’s known as a 365 Project, where I take a photo every day for a year. I’d like to push my photography in 2015, both in craft and reach, so each week will have a theme and I’ll post the best photos from the week  to the blog. To kick it off I’m focusing on “white” this week since, at least in Taos, there’s a whole lot of that around. Look for that photo next week.

And speaking of white, or its antidote, here’s a shot of the Ocean Beach pier (San Diego) I took last summer.

Ocean Beach Sunset

Hope this finds you safe and warm, wherever you are.

Can’t wait to see the results of your new challenge. I’m with you no resolutions but working on travel and project plans (for when I can get away from work!). Happy 2015!

My resolutions are things I need to just do and have been putting off for a while, like drinking all the tea I bought last year before I buy any new. I love how the new year is an opportunity to think about new big projects and little mundane things. Happy New Year! I can’t wait to see your photos. The ones in your gallery are amazing!

Manisha – Thanks for the kind words, and good job on tackling those tasks/projects undone. Very satisfying. One of the many things, like yours, on the list, is going through all my vinyl and getting rid of the albums I don’t love. Just because they’re on vinyl doesn’t mean I need to keep them!
