Small Lake, Big City

It’s a new year and I’m all about tying up loose ends. Like some unprocessed photos I made at Lake Murray last year, a small but delightful lake smack in the middle of San Diego.

I’m fascinated by line and form, and there were plenty of opportunities to explore both at Lake Murray.

Nature’s calligraphy.

Lake Murray Ripples

Ripples on the water calm me right down.

Lake Murray ramp

I’m always fascinated by roads or paths that seem to go nowhere. (I realize this is a boat ramp, but still.)

All that symmetry!

Lake Murray ducks

And finally, ducks.

Love these! I have to say though I was scrolling through the post and as I scrolled down and took off the top section of the first photo I fell in love with it! The ripples is super cool and the droplets in the bottom corner were such a pleasant surprise!

Sherry – I’m glad you like them! And I agree, they could be cropped differently with satisfying effect. πŸ™‚

That’s the sign of a truly amazing photograph if that is the case!
