The Ring of Kerry on the west coast of Ireland is yet another – sigh – place I want to go back to.

That’s the main issue I have with a tour – you don’t have the option of stopping and exploring awhile, and the Ring of Kerry is one of those places that deserves a lot of attention.

Yes, it’s beautiful and walkable – there’s something called the Kerry Way Walk that I’d love to go back and do, just me, my backpack, a walking stick, and maybe some helpful leprechauns to guide me if I get lost. A girl can dream.

The towns have delightful names, like Ballinskelligs, Portmagee, and Sneem. Sneem! Say it out loud, it’s fun.

This was a quick trip, so I don’t have a ton of photos to share, but these will have to do. For now.

In lieu of helpful leprechauns, there are road signs.

ring of kerry atlantic ocean

Gorgeous blue and green in the water.

ring of kerry ballinskelligs bay

Ballinskelligs Bay on another – hurray! – moody day.

ring of kerry park

I don’t remember what park this was, but I fell in love with those red benches.

ring of kerry booze bottle

Someone else enjoyed them, too.
