I’m packing up and heading to Joshua Tree for the weekend, but wanted to share a couple of photos from that glorious Scotland visit.
Music is everywhere in the UK, from the pubs to the street corner and even the mountains.
I’ll have photos of Joshua Tree for you next week. Until then, have a wonderful weekend!

Bagpipes still to this day give me goosebumps. Interestingly enough, my family hates them. Pipes and drums and I’m happy but the smile on the face of the lady in the street reminds us that music is truly the same in any language and does indeed make us happy (okay the right tunes do)! Have fun at JT and Happy Easter!
Sherry – I hear you about the goosebumps – I love bagpipes. I remember sitting on Stinson Beach in Marin County with a friend, and we heard bagpipes in the distance. Pretty soon we saw a small procession, led by a bagpiper, and then the group stopped at the shoreline and we watched as a woman scattered someone dear’s ashes into the ocean. One of those moments you never forget. You’re absolutely right about the woman and her accordion! The joy and universal language of music.
I’m no fan of bagpipes, but that photo does seem to be quintessentially Scotland. Such great saturation of colors!
Deborah – Agreed about the quintessentialness. He was posing (and playing) quite nicely against all that gorgeous green!
