I just got back from almost three months in California, and even though I’m glad I was there, I’m feeling starved for wide open spaces.

I’m planning a big Scamp to remedy this, starting next month (I’ll tell you more about that soon), but I wanted to finish up the Scotland photos and pulled a few that give me that relief, that sense of ahhhhh. The antidote to too many people and the hustle of city life.

My neighbor in San Diego was an amenable but active drug dealer, meaning there was knocking on his door all day long. If I would have been here, in Loch Lomond, this would not have been the case.

Other acceptable neighbors: these cows on the Isle of Skye.

Loch Lomond. Calm water and blue sky on the horizon. Ahhh.

More calm water and wide open space in Mallaig. I can feel my blood pressure dropping just looking at this.

What about you? What calms you down when you’re feeling crowded or stressed? Let us know in the comments.
